Job Description
Deliver the digital infrastructure to connect our communities to inclusive economic growth, a net zero carbon future and an improved quality life
Hosted by Cambridgeshire County Council and led by Peterborough and Cambridgeshire Combined Authority, the Connecting Cambridgeshire programme is already a nationally recognised programme. We are leading the way in making rapid improvements to our digital connectivity and infrastructure, which in turn enables us to drive economic growth, helps our businesses and communities to thrive and makes it easier for our people to access public services.
As one of the fastest growing counties in the UK, a big focus for Cambridgeshire County Council is to develop and maintain our leading-edge digital connectivity infrastructure in partnership with the Combined Authority. As we continue to emerge from the pandemic, there has never been a more important time for us to remain truly connected.
98% of people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough are already accessing superfast broadband – the highest rate in the country – and we are proud to have the digital infrastructure that’s needed for our local people and businesses to thrive. In partnership with key partners through the Connecting Cambridgeshire programme, we are leading the way on digital inclusion to ensure no one is left behind.
We now seek a new Programme Director to fast-track our Connecting Cambridgeshire programme to even greater success. If you are a digital guru with a passion for bettering people’s lives through digital means, join us and accelerate our plans for next-generation broadband connectivity, mobile coverage and smart technologies.
