Welcome to Different
Different is a national, innovative leadership development programme designed to transform the landscape of senior leadership in Local Government. We're committed to building excellent, diverse leaders who truly represent the communities they serve.
Different is more than just a development programme – it’s a commitment to reshape leadership in the public sector, ensuring our organisations are led by talented individuals who represent the communities they serve.
Different is spearheaded by two trailblazing senior leaders, Deborah Cadman OBE and Meena Kishinani who have operated at the most senior levels of Local and Regional Government and navigated the challenges of the public sector firsthand.
The programme is supported by the expertise of Newtrality, a transformation consultancy deeply invested in empowering local authorities to achieve sustainable transformation and the experienced recruitment team at Tile Hill who are all committed to tackling the lack of diverse representation in senior local government leadership.
Who Should Apply?
The Different leadership programme was created with one clear goal in mind - to empower the diverse changemakers who will shape the future of local government. We are looking for nominations of those mid-career professionals from an underrepresented ethnic background, operating at the Tier 3 or Tier 4 management level.
This is more than just an opportunity for personal growth - by joining Different, participants will form part of a movement to redefine the face of local government leadership.
