Job Description

A big role in an ambitious council, packed with variety, influence and opportunity.

Erewash is a bustling borough in Derbyshire that is perfectly positioned between the vibrant cities of Derby and Nottingham. With a blend of busy urban and beautiful rural scenes, Erewash enjoys a strong and diversified economy, great transport links and an affordable cost of living. It’s no surprise, therefore, that our borough is a popular place to live, work and visit.

We now seek a new director to bring innovation and fresh thinking to our already high performing portfolio of services. As Section 151 Officer, you will hold a key role in the council, ensuring we continue to deliver effective financial management and long-term financial stability for the council.  Working closely with our Chief Executive, Elected Members and residents, you’ll lead a complex and varied range of services across finance, accountancy, revenues and benefits, ICT, HR, planning and regeneration, performance, elections, legal and more. This is a huge and varied role that requires a confident and passionate leader.

This is a great time to join Erewash Borough Council. If you think you’ve got what it takes to take us to greater heights, we would love to hear from you.
