|Job Title:||Non-Executive Directors|
|Client:||Milton Keynes Development Partnership|
|Salary:||£20,000 per annum + reasonable expenses|
|Contact Name:||Anthony Lewis|
|Job Published:||10 days ago|
|Job Expiry Date:||31 Jul 2022|
Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP) is a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) owned by Milton Keynes Council (MKC). We are a company whose primary role is to use and develop its portfolio of land assets to advance Milton Keynes Council’s objectives to develop the city, to build on its impressive track record and to become an ever-better place to live and socialise as well as to work and conduct business in line with the Council’s Plan and Plan:MK.
The organisation is led by a board comprising of an Independent Chair, three Independent Members, three local councillors and MKC’s Chief Executive. And as we look to the future, we want to ensure we have the right skills and experience within the board to seize on the opportunities for our great City, and to ensure we deliver our ambitious business plan.
We are seeking individuals with experience across a range of professional backgrounds and disciplines. Our aim is to ensure that within the independent Board Members, we have skill sets across placemaking, property, housing, finance, partnership working, governance, and risk & strategy. We don’t expect one individual to possess all of this experience, so we will be taking a holistic view of who we appoint onto the Board to ensure that everyone’s skill sets complement each other.
Ideally, we are seeking experienced non-executive directors who have a track record of working alongside executive leadership teams in a positive and supportive manner. You will understand the wider system that we operate within and take pride in your role as an ambassador for the City, working closely with elected Members, residents, council staff and external partners to positively influence the future of our City. We take our responsibilities seriously, but we celebrate positive relationships with the Executive where professional experience and boundaries are respected. In short, we truly operate as critical friends to ensure the successful delivery of the business plan. The culture of our Board is open, discursive, and transparent and for those who join, they will need to demonstrate a passion for transforming Milton Keynes.
