We’re now looking for an exceptional leader to help drive forward our improvement journey in Children’s Social Care at pace to ensure all our children receive the best possible start in life and can achieve their full potential. Reporting to the Strategic Director of People (DCS) you will have the autonomy to get things done but with the full support of your peers, DCS, Chief Executive and Members. You will continue to build and strengthen relationships with key partners, across Health, Police, Education and the voluntary and community sector.
A qualified social worker, you will have responsibility for the full range of services from the ‘front door’ to fostering and adoption. With a relentless focus on improving the quality and consistency of practice, you will drive forward the implementation of systemic practice and ensure that the improvements are making a positive difference to children, young people and their families. Workforce will also be a key area, and you will help to develop and empower your staff to create a culture of inquisitiveness and learning.
