We want Redbridge to be a place our diverse communities can be proud of. Civic pride is a key leadership priority for us as it impacts our economy, our reputation and our residents’ quality of life.
We are seeking a talented operational leader to help us achieve these ambitions and to help create a ‘cleaner, greener and safer Redbridge’.
Alongside being operationally responsible for the delivery of cleansing services, enforcement, consumer protection, waste and recycling, fleet and passenger transport, you’ll work on vital and impactful projects that will make a massive difference to our communities:
Delivering high quality services that perform in the top quartile against our comparators
Helping us embed a proactive, demand led, approach to service delivery
Embedding our digital transformation programme to bring residents closer to our services.
Leading the co-ordination of our response to the Community Crime Commission
Working to improve air quality in our Borough
Refreshing our ‘Streets Strategy’
Supporting our aim to be a UNICEF accredited ‘Child Friendly Borough’

To enable you to do this, you’ll be able to align the Council’s resources to meet the challenges our Borough and Residents face, and in doing so, you’ll have opportunity to shape and drive progress and work with a very engaged set of communities that want to see positive change.
We are looking for someone who has experience of managing high quality operational services on a scale similar to ours. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must, and you’ll feel confident working with Elected Members, Senior Officers and front-line staff as well as with external partners.
