Principal Educational Psychologist and Assistant Director SEN

Kent County Council

Committed to delivering outstanding outcomes, we are driving significant and positive system change for the most vulnerable residents in our county. We have confidently faced our challenges and have turned them into opportunities to deliver significant improvements – reflected in the progress we have made since the issuing of our Improvement Notice in March 2023. Whilst we are proud of how far we have come, we have an unwavering passion to continue to drive rapid and sustainable system development to better support children with SEN and their families.

In this context, the Principal Educational Psychologist and Assistant Director SEN is a crucial appointment for KCC. Working with a dedicated and supportive team, you will have the opportunity to lead on significant change programmes, drive innovation, remodel relationships, and partner with key stakeholders to improve outcomes. It is an exciting time and place for a resilient and collaborative leader to make their mark in Kent and shape the future of the county by delivering sustainable changes to enhance statutory and non-statutory service delivery for children with SEN and their families.

If you are ambitious and passionate about achieving exceptional outcomes and would like to be a part of groundbreaking work at Kent as our next Principal Educational Psychologist and Assistant Director SEN, then we would love to hear from you.
Applicants must be professionally qualified and registered with the HCPC. An enhanced DBS check is required for this post. Applicants should note that this post follows the Kent County Council (KCC) pay scales and is not on Soulbury Pay and Conditions.
