About the Opportunity
An exciting and high-impact interim leadership role has arisen within a national not for profit organisation at a pivotal point in its housing transformation journey. We're seeking someone who brings both operational grit and strategic vision, stepping in to guide teams through a crucial period of transition.
What’s in It for You and the Team
- Lead with purpose: provide stability, direction, and momentum across housing management and asset operations.
- Be a “player-coach”: someone tactical and strategic, shaping outcomes while rolling up their sleeves.
- Support a committed, specialist team; ensuring quality, compliance, and innovation during transformational change.
- Strategic and operational oversight of housing management, tenancy sustainment, income recovery, voids, and arrears.
- Overseeing rent and service charge reviews, asset planning, property compliance, and security initiatives, with specialist support where required.
- Leading teams to deliver tangible improvements in quality, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Working closely with service heads to define new ways of working and embed transformation.
- A resilient and agile housing or asset management leader, comfortable delivering across the spectrum from strategy to frontline delivery.
- A people-centric leader who inspires confidence, unites teams, and navigates ambiguity with clarity and energy.
- Demonstrable experience across housing functions, ideally gained in organisations where broad-hat leadership was the norm.
- Able to hit the ground running, maintain performance under pressure, and drive transformation without losing operational focus.
- Interviews: Single-stage panel (w/ senior leadership), w/c 15th September. If available, interviews may be able to take place towards the end of w/c 1st September
- Start: Late September / Early October preferred
- Contract: 6 months, with potential extension for transition support
- Location: Home-based with travel
- Salary: £85k–£90k pro rata
