Interim Service Director Property & Business Support Services

I am supporting a local authority with the appointment of an interim Service Director for Property & Business Services. Below is a brief overview of the key priorities for the role.

• Lead the strategic management of the Council’s property estate, including acquisitions, disposals, and investment planning. 
• Deliver a £100m capital programme and oversee a £6m revenue budget. Implement the Council’s Estate Strategy and Cor­­porate Landlord Model, as approved by Cabinet in October 2024.
• Provide expert advice to senior leaders and elected members on property-related matters.
• Support organisational change by advising on future service structures for property and regeneration.
• Ensure compliance, data integrity, and alignment with climate and equality objectives. 
• This role requires a senior professional with strong strategic, commercial, and stakeholder management skills, with experience in local government property leadership.
