David Weir is Director and Founder at Tile Hill, and is a leading figure in public sector interim management and executive search. He started Tile Hill in 2017, having consolidated his leadership experience at Penna Plc, where he led the development of their public sector interim practice.
David has previously been awarded “Business Manager of The Year” in the Recruitment & Employment Confederation’s annual awards – and has a track record of supporting the growth, development and career progression of award-winning recruitment consultants and recruitment teams.
He is passionate about the role Tile Hill plays in appointing people into some of the most important jobs in the country: “knowing the impact that the right appointment can have on people, places and society is really motivating.” David has also always enjoyed getting to know people, understanding their stories, their motivations, their perspectives and their ambitions, and believes ultimately that “jobs can change lives.”
His role at Tile Hill is to create an environment where everyone can be successful and where people feel valued, supported and able to do the best possible job. “We’ve got such a special thing here at Tile Hill – a fantastic culture and an amazing team with shared values. David is never happier than when he’s combining travel with a love for being outdoors and active. “I don’t really rest too much – I like to be active and on the move.”
