Helen Anderson is an Associate Director in Tile Hill’s Executive Search practice, specialising in senior permanent appointments in local government. She is particularly interested in place-based roles (including housing, property, regeneration, transport, environment, economic growth and regulatory services) and corporate resources roles (such as finance, HR, legal, policy, strategy, digital and transformation).

Helen has almost 12 years’ experience in public sector recruitment having previously worked for GatenbySanderson and Penna Plc, two other leading executive search agencies. She’s also developed highly successful recruitment campaigns for central government and regulation bodies, the charitable and third sector, and further education institutions.

Helen is motivated by the knowledge that she can make a real difference to the way in which public bodies are run and indirectly, help improve people’s lives. She enjoys supporting candidates to shine and “helping them show the best version of themselves.”

Over the next few years, Helen hopes to support Tile Hill’s growth by expanding the company’s track record across the country, specifically within the areas of place and corporate resources. “We want to be renowned for being the go-to, most trusted and most experienced executive search agency in local government. Longer term, I want to support Tile Hill to diversify into other parts of the public sector.”

Helen is never happier than when she’s surrounded by people and socialising to her heart’s content – and has a particular talent (apart from public sector recruitment, of course) for hula hooping.
