Matt Gleeson

“We’re at the start of a chain reaction that ultimately impacts a lot of people.”

Matt is a Consultant in Tile Hill’s interim management team, with particular expertise in the housing management, assets, repairs and capital works side of both local authorities and housing associations. 

Prior to progressing as a consultant at Tile Hill, Matt was an associate consultant supporting the wider ‘Place’ sector, supporting and developing Tile Hill’s extensive candidate network within regeneration, environments and housing.

Matt joined the company straight from the University of Northumbria, where he studied Politics and International Relations. He is motivated by the fact that public sector recruitment has a huge effect on communities: “By putting the right people together, we make a difference. But if we don’t do our job properly, it can have a serious impact.”

Matt loves recruitment because it’s all about people – meeting and networking with interesting people, and placing leaders with influence. He adds, “Tile Hill is so well respected in the industry it makes the work easier and more enjoyable, and the team surrounding me is so supportive.” Matt wants to support the growth of the company by advancing to consultant level, and developing the businesses in the housing assets and regeneration space.

Matt is never happier than when he’s taking a morning dip in the sea – which he apparently wants to do all year round. He also plays rugby and was once live on BBC1, grilling MPs on Brexit and the issues around it.
