Get to know one of our newest team members, Heather Chan, who is a Project Coordinator in our Interim Management practice:

What is your background?

I have worked in the recruitment industry for the past 4½ years.

After attaining my degrees in Neuroscience and Business Management, I started my journey in executive search as a Business Support Officer at iPeople, where we focused on recruiting interim executives into senior social care roles within the public sector. I then joined Odgers Interim as an Executive Coordinator and supported four consultants in the Government and Technology practices.

Why did you decide to join Tile Hill?

From the various conversations I had prior to joining, I could feel how passionate the consultants of Tile Hill were towards making a positive difference to their profession. The team strives to deliver quality customer service by prioritising authentic relationships above all – an important value that is in line with my own.

I am excited for the opportunity to take my experience from working at a boutique agency and a global search firm, and contribute to the development of a rapidly growing company.

Tell us more about your role at Tile Hill?

My role as Project Coordinator is to provide administrative support to the Interim Practice and manage each recruitment cycle from start to finish. I will be working closely with our consultants to ensure our clients’ objectives are met to the highest standards of quality and care. I will also act as a point of contact and support for candidates during their assignments with us.

What will you be bringing to the table?

My positive outlook on life, dedication to go the extra mile, and my creativity to find new ways of solving problems and approaching situations.

What’s your approach to recruitment?

I make sure to always stay engaged when interacting with clients and candidates, put myself in their shoes and treat everyone with kindness and respect. While people may forget what you said or what you did, they will never forget how you made them feel.

What's the soundtrack to your working life?

Dig a Little Deeper– Jenifer Lewis (from Disney’s 'The Princess & The Frog').

What's your top business tip?

Keep your head up and always be yourself! There is often more than one solution to every problem, have fun while figuring it out.

What would your autobiography be called?

Taking the Scenic Route: Are We There Yet?
