Heather Chan is Head of Operations for the Executive Interim management team, having joined Tile Hill as a Project Coordinator. Through exceptional organisation and client-facing skills, she delivers the very best service to both interim candidates and her clients – while also making sure all Tile Hill’s processes are in line with client requirements, local government legislation and best practice.
Heather is motivated by the knowledge that she’s helping to make a positive difference to peoples’ lives in communities. She also enjoys the challenge of working with clients that have rigorous processes and limited budgets. She says “compared to clients in the private sector, you need to find innovative ways to solve problems. It pushes us to be resourceful and creative.”
Heather thrives in high-pressure and fast-paced environments, but thinks the culture of a company is important: “Tile Hill has a great culture where we can be whoever we want to be, where everyone feels appreciated and acknowledged.” Over the next few years, she hopes to support Tile Hill to scale up, streamlining their systems and processes, and exploring more innovative ways of working.
When she’s not delivering excellent results for Tile Hill and its clients, Heather is likely to be found tending to her pet tortoises of which she has two, Brian and Waffles.
