Get to know: Kathryn Reed, Associate Consultant

What is your background?
I have been placing senior interims in Local Authorities for the past two years. Before beginning my career in executive recruitment, I worked for a management consultancy, coordinating the recruitment and onboarding of their employees and international associates. Before that I was in a library in Norwich, surrounded by dusty tomes, writing my Early Modern History MA dissertation.
Why did you decide to join Tile Hill?
Tile Hill has a fantastic reputation in the market and the company’s strong vision and entrepreneurial spirit really appealed to me. I have much more autonomy and flexibility in my role than I had working for a bigger company, and Anthony and David are committed to investing in and developing the Tile Hill team. As soon as I joined I became a member of The Recruitment Network and have just been partnered with an external mentor. I’m excited to learn new things, progress in my career and work with talented, driven people.

What's your top business tip?
I think it’s important to understand that everyone is unique. One size does not fit all. People are at the centre of everything that we do, and for that reason it is worth investing time and energy into understanding their experiences, motivations and aspirations.
