Looking Back on 2025: A Year of Purpose, Progress and People
As 2025 draws to a close, we’ve taken a moment at Tile Hill to pause, reflect, and look back on what has been a hugely meaningful year for our team. It’s been a year defined not just by growth and recognition, but by purpose, a shared commitment to doing the right thing, supporting causes that matter, and continuing to put people at the heart of everything we do.

Giving Back
Supporting charitable causes is something we take great pride in at Tile Hill, and in 2025 we were honoured to support two incredibly important charities: Endometriosis UK and Alzheimer’s Society.
Together, we raised nearly £5,000 for these charities, a fantastic achievement, but the impact of this year has gone far beyond fundraising alone.
A huge part of our journey has been education. Through team sessions, charity-led talks and open conversations, we’ve had the opportunity to deepen our understanding of both endometriosis and dementia, conditions that affect millions of people, often quietly and without enough awareness. Hearing directly from the charities, learning from their expertise, and creating space for honest discussion within our team has been invaluable.
As always, our fundraising efforts brought us together, whether through team quizzes, physical challenges, team initiatives or overcoming our fears - reinforcing how powerful it can be when people unite around a shared cause. We’re incredibly grateful to Endometriosis UK and Alzheimer’s Society for working so closely with us and for the vital work they do every single day.
In addition to supporting our charities, we're also partners of Different - a leadership development programme for professionals from the global majority that aims to positively impact the leadership talent pipeline in public sector. Run by Deborah Cadman OBE and Meena Kishinani, 15 brilliant people have been on their Different journey with us this year. 30% of them have already secured promotions and progressed in their leadership careers and applications for next year's cohort are open now, until 23 January 2026. A Year of Recognition and What It Really Means to Us
2025 was also a standout year in terms of recognition. We were shortlisted for 10 industry awards, bringing home wins and high commendations that we’re extremely proud of.
We were absolutely thrilled to win Public and Third Sector Recruitment Company of the Year and Agency Recruitment Team of the Year at the British Recruitment Awards, as well as seeing our founder, David Weir, highly commended as Business Leader of the Year at the REC Awards.
Perhaps most meaningful of all was being voted Number One Leading Service Provider in the Institute of Interim Management (IIM) Survey earlier this year. This recognition matters deeply to us because it’s rooted in what we care about most: candidate experience. It is voted for by thousands of interims nationally working across all sectors, so to have topped the charts this year is testament to the whole team who go the extra mile for our interims every day.
Being recognised by the IIM is a reflection of the trust candidates place in us, the care we take at every stage of the recruitment journey, and the belief that people deserve transparency, respect and support - whether or not they ultimately secure the role.
Candidate experience isn’t just something we talk about; it’s central to who we are at Tile Hill, and this award is a powerful affirmation of that commitment.

Growth, Gratitude and Looking Ahead
Alongside awards and fundraising, 2025 has been a year of continued growth for Tile Hill - across new markets, evolving specialisms, and within our team itself. We've met and worked with so many incredible leaders across local government, civil society, not-for-profit, housing and health - whether at conferences, industry awards, events we've hosted - like our candidate summer party - to career catch ups over coffee or networking cross-sector.
It’s been another full-on year for public service leaders, and we’ve genuinely enjoyed standing alongside you as you’ve tackled big challenges, delivered for communities and continued to make a positive difference to society. Supporting people to move their careers forward, even in the toughest of contexts, remains a real privilege for us.
None of this happens in isolation.
We’re incredibly thankful to our clients for trusting us as partners, to our candidates for choosing to work with us, and to our wider network for supporting us along the way. Most of all, we’re proud of our team, for their integrity, their curiosity, their compassion, and their unwavering commitment to doing recruitment differently.
As we head into 2026, we do so with gratitude, ambition and a renewed sense of purpose. If this year has reinforced anything, it’s that when values lead the way, everything else follows.
Thank you for being part of our journey, here’s to another year of impact, connection and positive change.
