As a leader at Lancashire County Council, you’ll join an authority with real scale, courageous ambition and deep pride in place.
Lancashire is one of the largest and most complex local authorities in the country: a £2.2bn organisation serving 1.27 million residents through the dedication of more than 13,000 colleagues. With a rich mix of vibrant cities, historic market towns, and stunning rural and coastal landscapes, it is a county of great diversity and ambition. Our scale and breadth make this an extraordinary place to make a difference, not just to local services, but to the lives of communities across the Northwest and beyond.
We are clear in our vision: to build a better Lancashire where everyone can live their best life through stronger communities, a growing economy, and high-quality public services. Achieving this means continuing to deliver the fundamentals well while also embracing new ways of working, thinking differently, and reshaping our organisation for the future. At the heart of this are our values: we are supportive of our colleagues and communities, innovative in how we respond to challenges, respectful in how we work together, and collaborative in striving for the best outcomes. These values guide everything we do and will be central to how you as leaders will deliver in your roles
As our Director of Strategy & Transformation, you’ll take forward our major programmes of transformation and improvement, from digital and data, to service redesign and corporate efficiency, ensuring that innovation and delivery go hand in hand. You will also play a key role in responding to local government reorganisation while enabling us to be a more insight driven council alongside implementing other major policy agendas.
Or for a confidential conversation, contact Mark Bearn (07747 181490) about the role.
