Interim Head of Place Operations

You will provide strategic and operational leadership across core place operations, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and efficient services for residents. The role requires a senior leader with a proven background in managing in-house services within a local authority environment. This interim post is expected to run for 6–12 months with hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage in-house environmental and place-based operational services to deliver high performance and value for money.
  • Oversee service improvements, regulatory compliance, and operational safety standards.
  • Drive efficiency, modernisation, and service transformation across operational teams.
  • Build strong internal and external partnerships to support delivery and community outcomes.
  • Provide clear leadership to managers and operational teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
