Interim PMO/Portfolio Manager

We are seeking an experienced Interim Transitions Programme Manager to lead the development and delivery of a new Transitions Management Unit within a corporate PMO. This role will drive the transition and mobilisation of multiple service areas, ensuring consistent governance, robust planning and effective coordination across complex, multi‑disciplinary workstreams. You will oversee the full lifecycle of transition activity, manage programme risks and provide clear reporting and assurance to senior leaders.

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience delivering large‑scale transitions or transformation programmes, with strong leadership, stakeholder management, and governance skills. You will be confident managing budgets, resources and interdependencies, while ensuring compliance with operational, legal and regulatory requirements.
MSP/PRINCE2 Practitioner status is essential and experience within the public sector is highly desirable, alongside additional change or service management qualifications.
