Regional Director of Housing

Clarion Housing Group

Clarion Housing Group is the UK’s largest provider of affordable housing, with more than 350,000 people living in Clarion homes. Operating at national scale while remaining accountable to place, Clarion works across housing, development and community investment to provide secure, affordable homes and services that people can rely on.

Within Clarion’s North London operation, the Regional Director of Housing has responsibility for housing and neighbourhood services across a substantial portfolio of around 28,000 homes. The post reflects the breadth of North London, with services informed by diverse neighbourhoods, communities and local priorities.

Leadership of customer facing housing services brings close attention to how those services are experienced by residents day to day. Accountability includes regional budgets, business planning, performance and risk, alongside leadership of large, multidisciplinary teams. The emphasis is on setting clear direction, supporting consistent delivery and taking considered decisions in complex situations.

External relationships are an important part of the remit. Close working with local authorities and partners supports effective place based approaches, while insight from local delivery informs organisational learning, investment decisions and service development. Collaboration across repairs, asset management, development and community investment helps maintain a strong connection between services, homes and neighbourhoods.

The opportunity is suited to a senior housing leader comfortable with scale, complexity and accountability. Experience of leading large teams and working within regulatory frameworks will be important, alongside the ability to build constructive relationships with residents, colleagues and partners. Alongside this, a genuine commitment to residents, neighbourhoods and the quality of services provided will be important.

At its core, the role is about the difference that well run housing and neighbourhood services make to people’s everyday lives. It offers the opportunity to make a sustained contribution to social housing in North London, leading services that residents can trust and rely on.
