Job Description
This role is at the heart of the Council, working closely with officers, elected members and our partners to drive forward our priorities and embed positive change. You’ll ensure our policy function is connected, engaged and proactive, scanning for best practice and innovation.
You’ll ensure the functions within the Chief Executive’s office are delivered seamlessly to ultimately provide an effective and efficient service. And, as a member of the Corporate Management Team, you’ll provide strategic and inspiring leadership, putting the needs and aspirations of Bradford’s citizens at the heart of everything we do.
Collaborating widely, with partners across our district and beyond, you will ensure Bradford’s assets are harnessed and focussed to address inequality and achieve better outcomes for our residents.
The role will see you communicating and promoting the Council’s vision for the district, both locally and regionally, to raise Bradford’s profile. You’ll have responsibility for the Council’s relations with the media, proactively working with the media to protect or promote the interests of the Council, its partners and the District, and advising members and officers on how they should respond to media enquiries.
Ultimately, you’ll help build a culture of performance, achievement and excellence by delivering impactful outcomes that cement our reputation as being the place where ambition thrives.
