Job Description

Work wonders with work

Every morning, the nation wakes up to the news, beamed to them from Media City, a thriving development that established Salford as a forward-thinking, ambitious location fit for modern industry. And, over the years, that ambition has only grown stronger. While impressive, we believe we still haven’t achieved Salford’s full potential to become a truly learning city for everyone living and working here. That’s why we’re investing more to create new opportunities for our residents across the city, beginning with this newly created role. As Assistant Director, you’ll create a wider team and develop strong partnerships to improve links with HE and FE establishments and work with them to align their offer with growth sectors and the priorities of the city.

You’ll engage with the business sector and understand their vacancies to ensure local people fill those jobs. And you’ll also work on the adult skills agenda together with the voluntary sector to develop opportunities. Ultimately, your work will establish Salford as a city of opportunity[BS1] .
Come and add to the Spirit of Salford and feel the passion for the communities we serve.

For a confidential conversation, please contact Greg Hayes (07423 243415) or Clare Connor (0161 408 0703).
