At North Somerset, relationships matter. We’re a small, friendly authority with big ambitions; we’re looking for an exceptional leader to join us as our Director of Corporate Resources and Transformation.
This is a pivotal role at a critical time. With the arrival of our new Chief Executive, Mandy Bishop, we are embarking on a bold new phase of reform and transformation. We have ambitious plans to improve outcomes for our children, young people, and wider community. We need an innovative, forward-thinking leader to help turn those plans into reality.
As our new Director, you’ll be at the heart of shaping the future of our Corporate Resources directorate. You’ll drive our transformation programme, set the vision for change, and embed a modern, data-driven approach that delivers real value for our residents. With much of our enabling infrastructure already in place, you’ll have the freedom to focus on culture, collaboration, and performance – ensuring the directorate works seamlessly as one.
This is also a unique opportunity to strengthen the Council’s financial resilience and commercial focus. Working closely with our Section 151 Officer, you’ll bring strategic financial credibility and assurance while driving innovation in commissioning and service delivery. You’ll have strong political backing, engaged members, and a committed leadership team around you.
We know the challenges facing local government are significant – but at North Somerset, the opportunity to make a lasting impact is even greater. If you’re an inspiring, collaborative leader with the drive to shape transformation at scale, this is a place where you can truly make your mark.
