The role
You will be the senior professional lead for housing management, soley focussed on Wandsworth Council. Your remit spans resident and estate services, tenancy and ASB, leasehold, income, customer experience, and the interfaces with repairs, asset and building safety. You will turn the Housing Improvement Plan into sustained operational delivery, strengthen compliance and assurance, and rebuild confidence with residents, members and partners.
What you’ll lead and deliver
- Risk‑based compliance and building safety that keeps people safe and meets statutory expectations.
- Consistent, resident‑focused services across estates and tenancies, informed by data and insight.
- Clear performance management and contract oversight so effort maps to outcomes residents can feel.
- Contributions to capital and asset priorities so investment supports safety, quality and value.
- A culture that is collaborative, confident and focused on getting the basics right, every time.
- Significant, innovative contributions to the Councils Transformation Programme

You’ll bring credible leadership of housing management at scale and a firm grasp of the regulatory environment. You use insight to target effort, simplify priorities and raise standards. You’re values‑led and visible with residents, teams and partners, and you build constructive relationships with members and contractors.
